App hosting
Docmost, an open source wiki that rivals Confluence and Notion, installs on NABHCLOUD Apps with one click and runs from our Noida data centre.
Docmost is an open source tool for writing documentation together, built as an option against Confluence or Notion. Colleagues edit pages at the same time, group them into spaces and control access for each space separately. When you install it through NABHCLOUD Apps, we set it up along with PostgreSQL for storage and Redis for live editing.
Check our app hosting plans
Docmost needs at least our Pro tier app hosting plan. Current plans and prices are shown on this page. Every plan includes HTTPS, support for your own domain name and a GST-compliant invoice, and your app runs from our Noida facility.
Installing brings up Docmost together with PostgreSQL and Redis. Visit the app's address to set up your workspace and admin login, after which you can build spaces and bring your team on board.
Docmost allows multiple people to type into one page simultaneously. Pages belong to spaces, each space has its own membership list, and every page keeps comments, a revision history and an automatic table of contents. It supports diagrams from tools such as draw.io, Excalidraw and Mermaid, and lets you publish single pages as shareable public links. The project is built on NestJS and React, licensed under AGPL, and stores its data in PostgreSQL while Redis powers the live editing.
Configuration needs only a handful of environment variables: APP_URL for the address, APP_SECRET to sign sessions, plus DATABASE_URL and REDIS_URL. By default, uploaded files are kept on local disk, though switching the storage driver lets you point them to S3-compatible storage instead — useful if you want to keep a large attachment library on NABHCLOUD S3. Real-time editing works over websockets, so open a second browser window and confirm your changes show up there instantly to verify it's working.
Being a newer project, Docmost changes often. Certain capabilities, like single sign-on, are limited to its paid tier, so check the latest feature comparison before committing your team to anything. Occasionally use the page menu to save your pages as Markdown or HTML, so your documentation doesn't end up trapped inside a single database.
| Workload | Plan | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A dozen-person team with a few hundred pages | Pro | Node, PostgreSQL and Redis run together within the plan. |
| A bigger company wiki with many simultaneous editors | Business | Live editing and search demand extra memory. |
Our Pro plan includes 2 vCPU, 4 GB of memory and 50 GB of storage, with support for up to 10 apps. This is enough capacity to run Docmost side by side with your own applications on a single server. Billing happens monthly, and the listed prices exclude 18% GST. Current plans and prices are shown on this page.
