Hosting a VPS in India from Nepal and Bangladesh

Guide for Nepal and Bangladesh firms hosting a VPS in India: USD billing with no GST, PayPal or card payment, passport eKYC, and testing latency first.

Guides

Firms and new ventures in Nepal and Bangladesh often pick India as a hosting base: the geography is close, Indian network infrastructure is solid, and a machine placed in Delhi NCR can answer requests faster for many users than a location in Singapore or in Europe. This guide walks through how someone outside India sets up a NABHCLOUD VPS in our Noida facility, how invoicing works when no GST applies, and how to measure response speed for your audience before you commit to a plan.

Spin up a server
Pay by the hour, get a GST invoice, and have the machine running in under a minute.

How billing works for customers outside India

  • Currency: use the ₹ / $ toggle in the menu to view rates in USD; accounts outside India are billed from the USD rate list.
  • GST: this tax applies only to customers based in India; it is not charged to customers outside the country.
  • Payment: settle invoices using PayPal or a debit/credit card.
  • Verification: complete a one-time eKYC check using your passport or national ID before your first server is deployed.
  • Infrastructure: you get the identical server hardware used by customers inside India, housed in our Noida datacentre in Delhi NCR; more detail is on our page for customers outside India.

Measuring latency from Nepal and Bangladesh

The time a request takes to travel depends on your users' internet provider and the route into India, so you should measure it yourself instead of relying on a published number. Because billing can be hourly, this costs little: spin up a small server, then run connectivity checks (ping, traceroute) starting at your workplace and continuing across a handful of customer connections, load a sample page, and tear the server down if performance disappoints. Hour-based plans charge for every hour you start, down to a 1 hour minimum.

  1. Spin up a trial server

Choose the smallest configuration on our server builder, running Linux or Windows, billed by the hour.

  2. Test from your users' locations

Run ping and a traceroute from your premises, and also from the mobile and broadband lines your customers rely on.

  3. Run the real workload

Put up a copy of your website or API and measure actual request times, not just ping replies.

  4. Keep it or remove it

Resize the server to match your needs, or delete it outright; billing ends the moment the server is removed.

What every server includes

  • A KVM-based virtual machine with dedicated vCPU and RAM, fast NVMe storage, and full root or administrator control over the machine.
  • Each VM comes with its own dedicated public IPv4 address.
  • Built-in DDoS protection on all servers via Cloudflare Magic Transit, at no extra cost. Read more on our DDoS protection page.
  • Deployed on Windows Server 2022 or Linux, live within a minute of completing payment.
  • Billing by the hour, or monthly and longer commitments that cost less per month, plus the ability to resize vCPU, RAM and disk through the panel or API.

Checklist to run through before choosing a VPS in India

  • Does the provider accept USD payment via card or PayPal, and does your invoice exclude GST?
  • Is there an hourly plan you can trial before signing up for a longer term?
  • Does DDoS protection come included, or is it charged per IP address?
  • Is the datacentre location disclosed, and are you able to test latency to it on your own?
  • Can you contact support via ticket and WhatsApp during your business hours?

Common questions

Can a Nepal-based business buy a VPS hosted in India?

Yes. Buyers outside India view USD rates, settle payment through PayPal or a card without GST, complete a single eKYC check using a passport or other national ID, and run on the same servers housed in our Noida datacentre.

Can a Bangladesh-based startup host its application in India?

Yes. Register, finish eKYC using a passport or other national ID, then set up a server — Linux or Windows — in our Noida facility, billed in USD hourly or on a longer term.

Is GST applied for customers located outside India?

No. GST applies only to customers inside India. For customers outside India, invoices are generated from the USD rate list, with GST excluded.

What kind of latency should my users in Nepal or Bangladesh expect?

It depends on their internet provider and network path, so you need to test it yourself. Spin up an hourly server, check it from your users' connections, and remove it if the results fall short; billing applies for a minimum of 1 hour.

Does the service include DDoS protection?

Yes. Every server sits behind Cloudflare Magic Transit starting from first boot, at no extra charge.

Can payment be made via PayPal?

Yes. Customers located outside India can pay using PayPal or a card.
