Algo trading VPS in India with a static IP for broker API whitelisting, Noida-to-Mumbai latency, uptime, Python setup and rupee billing.
An algo trading VPS keeps your strategy running continuously and sends orders through your broker's API, removing any reliance on a personal computer or home network connection. SEBI's rules covering retail algorithmic trading require brokers to accept order instructions only from an IP address the client has already registered, and a VPS supplies exactly that kind of fixed address. This guide covers what matters in an algo trading VPS in India and how to set one up with NABHCLOUD.

Since February 2025, SEBI's framework for retail algorithmic trading has required brokers to accept API orders only from IP addresses their clients have already registered. Home broadband connections change their public IP from time to time, and traffic sent through a cloud function or a shared NAT gateway comes from addresses you cannot control. A VPS with its own dedicated IPv4 solves this by giving you one fixed address to hand over to your broker.
Each NABHCLOUD server comes with one dedicated public IPv4 address on its own network interface, with no NAT or shared gateway in between, so your outbound API requests originate from that address. It remains unchanged across power-offs, restarts and resizing, and only changes if you delete the server. Refer to your broker's own developer documentation for the exact registration steps.
Both broker API servers and the exchanges sit in Mumbai. Round trips from our Noida location to Mumbai run around 40 ms typically. A Mumbai region is planned at identical pricing, and you'll be able to move a server there from a snapshot without rebuilding it.
For retail strategies running on broker APIs, the time brokers take to handle an order and the exchange takes to match it make up most of the total delay — a home connection only adds extra lag and occasional downtime on top of that. Running from a VPS removes the home connection from the equation entirely. Sub-millisecond colocation is a separate exchange offering for members only, not something any VPS can match.
Complete verification once using Aadhaar/DigiLocker or a valid ID document, as CERT-In requires.
Choose a ready-made plan from our algo trading page or configure a custom size with the builder. Our Ubuntu image comes with Python and Node already installed.
Grab the server's public IPv4 from the dashboard and enter it in your broker's API settings.
Set it up with systemd, pm2 or a cron job so it restarts automatically after a reboot and keeps running through market hours without a terminal window open.
Snapshot the server before switching to live orders, and repeat this before every future change.
Try out a strategy on hourly billing, charged per hour started with a one-hour minimum. Once you're ready to run it live, a monthly plan saves 30% against the hourly rate, and a 12-month commitment brings that down by 44%. All billing is in Indian Rupees, with prices shown excluding GST; 18% GST is added at checkout, and you receive a GST tax invoice.
Under SEBI's framework for retail algorithmic trading, brokers only accept API orders from IP addresses you've registered with them in advance. A VPS provides a fixed public IPv4 you can register for this purpose.
Yes. Each server gets a dedicated public IPv4 attached straight to its interface, with no NAT layer in between. This IP remains fixed through stopping, starting, rebooting and resizing, right up to the point you delete the server.

Any REST or WebSocket API works, including Zerodha Kite Connect, Upstox, Dhan, Angel One SmartAPI and Fyers. Python and Node come preinstalled on the default Ubuntu image.
No. Every server runs as a dedicated VM, with its vCPU and RAM reserved just for it and never oversold.
