Learn how to buy a VPS in India with a GST tax invoice: add your GSTIN, CGST/SGST vs IGST, GSTR-2B matching and paying by UPI.
A VPS bought with a GST invoice in India means buying from a GST-registered Indian host that puts your GSTIN on a proper tax invoice, letting your business claim that GST back as input tax credit. At NABHCLOUD, every paid order, every renewal and every block of hourly usage generates one automatically. Listed prices exclude GST, which gets added on the invoice itself. This guide walks through the setup needed before you place an order, what appears on the invoice, and how to pay using UPI.

Check VPS plans — metered hourly billing, a GST invoice every time, live inside a minute.
Order a server from an overseas provider using a card, and you get a statement in dollars, a currency conversion charged by your bank, and a reverse-charge GST obligation that you must self-assess and file yourself — none of it shows up in your GSTR-2B.
Order from a GST-registered Indian provider instead, and everything changes: billing happens in rupees, GST appears directly on the invoice, and that invoice gets reported so it lands in your GSTR-2B automatically. A registered business can then claim the full tax amount as input credit, turning GST into a pass-through rather than an added cost. Our GST billing page compares both routes side by side.
Input credit depends on the invoice carrying your GSTIN, and that is only possible if the number is saved to your account before the invoice gets generated. Enter your GSTIN, business name and the state you bill from into the account panel before you order.
Your billing state decides the split. Register in the same state as NABHCLOUD — Uttar Pradesh — and the tax divides evenly into CGST and SGST. Register anywhere else within India and you pay IGST as a single line instead. Either way the total works out to 18%, fully claimable. Overseas customers are billed off the USD price list instead, treated as a zero-rated export.
Every paid order, renewal and hourly billing cycle produces a GST tax invoice, downloadable as a PDF from the panel, showing:
NABHCLOUD reports the invoice in its GSTR-1 filing, which flows into your GSTR-2B for reconciliation. Pass the PDF to your accountant, or reconcile the entry yourself at filing time, to recover the 18%. An invoice raised before your GSTIN was added cannot be claimed against, which is why setting up the account comes first.
Scan the code in any UPI app and payment lands in the wallet right away. Debit cards, credit cards and net-banking from Indian banks are accepted too, working just as instantly. Term-based plans are charged in full when you order, while hourly usage debits a prepaid wallet balance and gets billed afterward. That transaction ID becomes the payment reference entered on the invoice.
NABHCLOUD charges Indian customers in Indian rupees directly, with no currency conversion on the displayed price. Customers outside India pay by card in US dollars instead.
UPI handles every kind of payment on your account: upfront charges for monthly or longer-term plans, wallet top-ups that hourly servers consume as they run, and invoices settled later from the panel. Any UPI app works, a top-up reaches the wallet instantly, and a server can go live right after.
Renewals can also run on a UPI AutoPay mandate, letting the charge happen automatically each cycle. Turn it off anytime via the Cancel autopay option under billing in the panel — see our guide to billing and AutoPay for the walkthrough.
End a monthly or longer-term plan ahead of schedule, and the unused balance flows back to your wallet on a pro-rata basis; NABHCLOUD issues a GST credit note referencing the original invoice. Hourly usage is invoiced the same way term plans are, with GST included. Mid-term upgrades are billed proportionally for the time left in the term, with a separate invoice covering the difference.
Verify your identity once with Aadhaar, DigiLocker or another ID document to satisfy CERT-In's requirement.
Type your GSTIN, legal name and the state you bill from into the panel first.
Choose a plan from the VPS page or configure an exact size using the builder, select Linux or Windows, and decide between hourly or term billing.
Usually the server is ready within a minute of payment, with the tax invoice generated right away.
Pull the invoice PDF from your panel. Share it with your accountant, who reconciles it against the GSTR-2B.
Listed prices exclude GST; Indian customers see 18% added on the invoice itself. Each paid order, renewal and round of hourly usage comes with its own GST tax invoice bearing your GSTIN.
Yes — scan with any UPI app for an instant top-up; Indian cards and net-banking work as well. NABHCLOUD issues a GST tax invoice for every payment.
Yes, as long as the GSTIN was saved to your profile before the invoice got raised. The invoice also lists NABHCLOUD's GSTIN, the SAC code 998315, your place of supply, and whichever tax split applies — CGST/SGST or IGST.
Your billing state decides it. Same state as NABHCLOUD means CGST plus SGST; any other state in India means IGST instead. Either way, the total works out to 18%.
Yes. We invoice hourly usage the same as term plans: in rupees, with 18% GST, and your GSTIN printed on the invoice.
Yes — individuals and businesses without a GSTIN can still order a VPS. GST appears on the invoice regardless, though only a registered business whose GSTIN is listed there can claim it back as input credit.
Yes. Send money via UPI into the prepaid wallet; it credits right away, and hourly servers consume it as they run, with usage billed in rupees plus GST.
Yes. A UPI AutoPay mandate charges renewals automatically. Turn it off anytime from the panel's billing area.
