Rent a VPS by the hour, month or year with NABHCLOUD: what your rent includes, managed vs unmanaged, Linux or Windows, and how to start or stop it.
Renting a VPS lets you pay for a virtual server only for the time you need it, with no hardware purchase. This guide covers what your rent includes, how hourly, monthly and multi-year rental compare, and how to start or stop a rental with NABHCLOUD. Current plans and prices are shown on the VPS plans page.
Check VPS plans — hourly billing, a GST invoice, and a live server in under a minute.
A VPS, or virtual private server, is a virtual machine running on physical hardware inside a data centre. Renting one gives you a fixed share of that machine: virtual CPUs, memory, an NVMe disk and a public IPv4 address, with root access on Linux or administrator access on Windows. The hosting provider owns and operates the hardware, power, cooling and network, and you pay rent only for the period the server runs.
With NABHCLOUD, every rented VPS runs on KVM in our Noida data centre in Delhi NCR, protected by Cloudflare Magic Transit DDoS defence, connected through a 1 Gbps port, and billed with a GST invoice on every payment.
Pick hourly billing for testing or short-lived jobs. Hourly servers are billed for each hour started, with a minimum charge of 1 hour, and you can remove the server whenever you want. Deleting it stops the rent immediately.
Switch to a monthly plan once a server becomes permanent. A month on a fixed plan costs 30% less than paying hourly for a full month, so the monthly option becomes the cheaper choice once a server stays active for roughly 511 hours, or about 21 days, within that month.
Commit for longer and the price drops further: a one-year term runs 44% below the hourly rate, and a three-year term runs 65% below it. You can switch an existing server from hourly billing to a fixed term later without rebuilding it. Our guide comparing hourly and monthly billing walks through the full calculation.
Most VPS rental is unmanaged: the host runs the underlying platform, and you run whatever software sits inside the server. A managed rental adds a team that looks after the operating system and applications for you, typically at a higher monthly cost.
Our VPS rental is self-managed but not unsupported: you keep full root or administrator access, our support team is on hand for platform, network and billing questions at no extra cost, and an automated setup tool can install and configure common software stacks, including LAMP, WordPress, Docker, IIS and MT4/MT5, free of charge. Read the guide on managed versus unmanaged VPS for where the boundary falls.
A Windows VPS follows the same rental process as Linux, on the same rate card. The Windows Server licence is bundled in, charged per vCPU core, and never billed while the server is switched off. Windows images need at least 4 vCPU and 8 GB of RAM, so a Windows rental is never undersized for the operating system. See our Windows VPS plans and the Windows VPS hosting guide.
An hourly server stops incurring charges as soon as you delete it. If you cancel a monthly or longer-term plan before it finishes, the unused portion is returned to your wallet on a prorated basis, along with a GST credit note.
Your first order of a VPS, cloud server or managed Kubernetes plan is also protected by our 7-day money-back guarantee: request a refund within 7 days of your first payment, and we return the full amount to the payment method you used.
Yes. Hourly servers are charged for each hour started, with a minimum of 1 hour. Delete the server once you finish, and billing stops right away.
For a server that stays active for most of the month, yes. A monthly plan runs 30% below the hourly rate and becomes worthwhile once the server runs for around 511 hours, roughly 21 days, in that month.
Our VPS rental is self-managed, with root or administrator access kept by you. Platform support is included, and an automated setup tool can configure common software stacks for you at no extra cost.
Yes. Windows Server needs at least 4 vCPU and 8 GB of RAM. The licence is charged per vCPU core and is not billed while the server is off.
Yes. Every payment comes with a GST tax invoice showing your GSTIN, so businesses can claim input tax credit. Customers outside India are billed in US dollars with no GST applied.
Yes. Customers abroad pay in US dollars by PayPal or card and verify with a passport. The server still runs from our Noida data centre, the same as every other plan.
